I can't stop ranting over the past 50 Gossip Girl episodes. Soon we'll have to make a poll to decide which one is the worst.
We are aware, we are so fucking aware, that Gossip Girl moves too fast. It can't hold a good storyline for long, with
a gross resemblance to plain bad sex. Anyway, we're so accostumed to its speed that we're unable [oops] to enjoy the present episode, only thinking of the next one. Fearing, to be exact.
What's gonna happen when Bart dies? Is Jack Bass going to be the savior of the crappy scripts? Or is boring Lily&Rufus and irritatingVanessa taking over our screen?
Well, let's talk about it.
Lily has more chemistry with Bart, sorry. Bart was a poorly developed character, sadly. Rufus looks like a baby, but feels so old. Now Lily is, like, running for the major bitch award and she's totally gonna make it. Stay tuned for the next epis, and look for her here under the kind name of Jezabel.
Now, why is Vanessa getting so much exposure? Having Old Hollywood as a reference, we know how Marilyn Monroe did it... But let's not be unfair, since we know she's only having it off with Westwick. Man, GG's bad performances makes you moody.
But still, we don't like Vanessa. We don't like her at all. What should we do to let them know that? It must have something to do with torches.. We don't want her screwing Jenny, or Nate, for that matter. We don't want her messing with Blair's minions. We don't want her ANYWHERE near Chuck. Most importantly, we don't want her winning. Anything.
Besides these unpleasant matters, Blair looked gorgeous, Serena looked great, Jenny finally did something interesting since last season, Nate became the new Dan, and Chuck keeps taking things annoyingly slowly. But this episode wasn't really bad. It was a bit boring, and I hate Vanessa. We won't have much of her next week, that's for sure.
Haha, your recap is a hell lot more interesting than the actual episode - I continue to hate it ;P. I'll admit, it was indeed better than the previous two, but all the J/N/V drama made it a major fail imo. Anyways, I think I can pretty much guarantee that 2x13 will actually, maybe, possibly ;) live up to our expectations.
see, I hate Vanessa too. And I will hate anyone who gets more attention than the non-judging breakfast club. Gossip Girl is supposed to be about Serena and Blair and it's not. if Nate had to have such a long drama of an arc it should be solved inside the circle. we could even include Dan for chatiry.
Ha, thank you, these episodes... there's nothing left to describe them, we said it all and they still won't hear us. Anyway, yes, we can safely say that is absolutely, 100%, no doubts at all possible that they get it right this time. Let's see what the canadians say, ahaha.
And yea, it's a craze, everyone has to hate Vanessa. As B-Side always states, it turned into my new motto: Vanessa ruins everything!
The breakfast club unholy union is what everyone was looking forward to, this season. From blogs through specialized websites to fanfictions, that's what we really, really wanted. They gave us not. But well, what's Gossip Girl for? Pleasure and pain. We're going through a soring-double-pain spell.
I'm not sure I care for the Fab 4. I'm hating Serena right now.

Yet I know her boobs are getting in the way of more important plots, ahaha.
I'm sure it will be clear once you watch the whole episode. I'm mad enough for her to jump in Chuck's face because of Dan, at Chuck's dead parent's funeral! I think that it so selfish behavior that it is inexcusable! Like mother, like daughter!
Indeed, people said she's being a bitch. Although others told something about her getting mad at Lily. I want chaos, bring it on, ahaha. But I'm so, so concerned with my CB :( I want Lily and Vanessa to be killed while they sleep, but I need my CB. And I can't believe that after this thrilling episode we'll have to wait after Xmas.
Did you watch it yet? Ugh, seeing it all in context makes me hate both Lily and Serena much, much more than I thought I would. Ruining away with your lovers? Leaving your step brother/son and brother/son behind on over the Christmas holidays right after their step-/father just died?
Accusing the son of being the indirect reason for why his dad died, talking trash about his father two minutes after he's been buried? Fucking shame on you Lily!!! Jumping in your step-brother's face, throwing a monster tantrum demanding that you are allowed to have you ex-boyfriend there, even though your step-brother hates him and doesn't want to see him? Compassion, Serena? Try not to be so fucking selfish just half the time, please?
No, I didn't get to watch it yet, but I just started to download it. Yesterday, though, I saw all the 1001 available clips on Youtube and, i'll tell you this, I went to bed feeling sort of miserable.
All in all, was it a good episode?
It was a pretty good episode. I am in the middle of writing my recap. Just my section raging over Lily, the skank, is miles long!
