I didn't mind him, but I know most of you hated him.
And how was he kicked? He simply doesn't come back from Argentina with Serena. Seriously, no, superseriously!, that's so refreshing. No kudos for the writers, because they clearly didn't know what to do with the gremlin they bathed and fed after midnight, BUT it is still a very logical way of parting ways. Sometimes you just go to Argentina to save your 3 weeks relationship from oblivion and come back empty hands. Or who knows what she's bringing back home. Not Lord Marcus, please.
But I really think it was the best way. Picture how funny it would be if he didn't appear or was even mentioned next episode. Like he never existed.

I didn't particular mind Aaron either, so I'm not disappointed he's gone. I am however, disappointed with how the utilised the character. From what I've heard, he was a pretty awesome character in the books, but in the show, he pretty much failed. But I do think it was how they used him that he failed rather than the actor. I think Aaron could have been more interesting, had we seen some Aráron-Blair, Aaron-Cyrus interaction than just Aaron-Serena/Dan. Just my two cents ;)
Poor Aaron was stucked in the Lower East Side, I mean, in Serena's world. He didn't exist ouside of it, and that was really sad. Plus, as viewers have been complaining, what was the deal with that facial hair? Maybe they just conjured Aaron out of nowhere to make some contrast with Dan, so we'd appreciate the latter a tad more.
Well, I didn't really care about the facial hair. I guess it fit into his artsy-fartsy, hippie-free lifestyle, whatever. But he was just such an boring idiot. As in more boring than Dan, who at least has his judgemental-ness and is semi-pretty and even more boring than Nate who at least is very pretty. Aaron was boring, he had no personality and he didn't gain one from interacting with Serena and that really sucked. Maybe he was a miscast. I dunno? But I saw some casting sides where he sounded really awesome, perhaps, because he totally kicked Dan's arse? At his art exhibition #1, Aaron was supposed to have asked Dan if he liked the art. Dan would answer that he didn't know a lot about art and Aaron would say, but you do have the ability to speak your opinion or something like that. See, much cooler! And bitchy ;),hey, I like snark.
I remember those sides. Now that you mentioned it, it never went to air, right? Schwavage should check themselves in rehab, they're certainly on drugs.
