Though it might not seem like there is much hope for a shiny, blissed-out future for our beloved Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester), a reliable insider assures me, "Chuck and Blair aren't just the Gossip Girl couple of the moment. They are the core Gossip Girl couple of the series. So you definitely will see much, much more of them in the days to come. The dance has just begun."Still, for the time being, Chuck and Blair won't be together. We'll learn in the next episode (January 5, 2009) that he has fled the country on a path to self-destruction, which is why Bart's brother will be swinging into town.
Regardless, despite the teetering Chuck and broken glass in the promo below, the Basshole is so not dying. In fact, should there only be two characters left standing in the series finale, you better believe it would be those two gorgeous mugs seen waltzing above.

A small update: the infamous new teacher is gonna leer on Dan, not Chuck, yay. But she'll manage to get under Blair's skin anyway. She is Vanessa 2.0, but you know what? I say take the new teacher and throw Vanessa through the roof! That's a good opportunity to get rid of her forever.

I told you NS is better than NV, she gets too much attention. She reminds me of some character from the O.C. but I can't put my finger on it.

Oh, I didn't say that, Kristin did, because she's such a shipper! I fixed the quotations now. But isn't it cute? It warmed my heart a little, I was feeling cold from, well, you know, everything.
Turns out I couldn't finish my episode today at work 'cause of operational problems, grr. But I figure it's a sign from above [not really] meaning I'm not ready yet.
I promise the recap is gonna be special, because the break is too large a lapse. And I don't want Vanessa with anyone! I'm serious about her death. To top her unsufferable on-screen existence, I'm still unhappy about Jessica Szohr and Westwick and, mind you, it's none of my business! But, as someone pointed out on NYMag, it's like Chuck is cheating on Blair with Brooklyn trash :( I hate having to aknowledge their existence off-screen. Boy do I type too much.
