If this all sounds a bit too harsh, it probably is, because who really cares. But my beef is this. Clearly a lot of time is spent on coming up with zingy one liners that everyone is hoping will become pop culture catchphrases and notable quotables. Sometimes those lines land really well! But most of the time they just seem meant to distract from the huge, gaping, stupid plot holes and bad storytelling. If the writers spent half as much time actually writing the script as they do coming up with stupid designer clothing puns, I think we'd have a much better show on our hands. Ugh. I'm sorry. I'm ruining your special day, Gossip Girl! It's your graduation! Let's sit down for the ceremony.

So. You're still watching the show?
I have to admit that I'm still watching. Not because I even like it anymore, but more because of my perverse need to prove myself right: The show still sucks and continues to do so. The fashion is super lame, Blair is instead of being super awesome, super pathetic. We won't even mention the Basstard. Serena is slutty and clueless about everything as usual. Nate is oblivious and irrelevant.

I saw yesterday that you were on hiatus. But I do hope you come back full force. I need fashion inspiration besides Gossip Girl ridiculous choices.

I've been on a hiatus myself, mostly because I couldn't stand this awful series anymore!
But I decided to try again, because of Chuck and Blair together. Not in a shipper way, but mainly cause it's a new experience - them, together.
Anyway, you are so right. Specially about the style of the show, and you speak with authority on that matter. It's sad, but Blair is quickly becoming the saddest of them all. She's a colourful caricature who doesn't blend into Manhattan refinement.
Not to mention Vanessa, who sucks by just being.
I'm trying to convey these impressions on a season finale recap. To get it out of my system.

I might get back to blogging, but it would be a lot different, I think. I've got lots of ideas and stuff, but Ii'm super busy with school which is distracting me. And it wouldn't have much to do with GG. The show isn't interesting and the fashion is just as bad. I used to flove Blair's still, but now we're lucky if we even get one good look per episode. Boring.
Urgh. Don't even mention V to me. I hate the b*****. Hypocritical ****! I hope Chuck gave her a STD or something.
Not only do I not ship CB, I catch myself rolling my eyes and skipping their scenes. I can't Chuck and I can't stand him with Blair. I can't stand the way Ed Westwick whispers ALL his lines and squints his eyes. Fuck you. That's supposed to be good acting? I really, really hate the way the writers have written Blair into a corner, and it's a pathetic and lame corner. But at least, Leighton is still fabulous and whenever she isn't doing something completely moronic or interacting with Chuck, I still love my girl! I've completely stopped shipping CB. I'm now a proud Carter/Blair shipper and my newest obsession is Tripp/Blair (based on their tiny scene in Anything Seder).
